Image Capture
This first step is crucial to creating the finest edition possible. Harvest uses the latest technology of high resolution digital scanning to capture the image. A sophisticated color management system developed at Harvest allows us to utilize the widest color palette possible. Proofing
Giclee production reflects the long-standing European tradition of rendering an image one at a time. Each piece of paper or canvas is carefully hand mounted onto a drum. A trained technician requires just over one hour to create one print. Harvest currently has eighteen Scitex IRIS 3047 printers to meet your fine art production needs. These printers produce an apparent resolution of 1800 dots per inch while spraying over 1 million droplets per second onto your selected substrate. There are no screens used with this method of reproduction hence there is a smoother look to the final print. The preciseness of the printing along with the depth of color range captures the subtleties and nuances of an original image be it water color, oil or acrylic.
Large Format Printing
Large format digital printing is available using the latest Roland technology. The Hi Fi Jet 540 and 740 were chosen for their superior printing capabilities using brilliant BullDog pigmented inks (BDG). This viable droplet inkjet technology prints with high speed precision. Also available is the high quality Mimaki JV3 using piezo print heads with JVS Triangle Professional solvent inks and a couple of JV5's.
Curation
The individual attention in the curation of each piece is the hallmark of Harvest Productions. Each piece requires individual hand work and attention. The curator will inspect, clean and insure that each print is of acceptable quality. The curator takes responsibility for the application of any protective or enhancement coatings that you have requested.
Serigraphy / Silkscreen
Carlos Alvarado has joined our staff as Master Serigrapher. He heads a team of qualified artisans who offer full screen-printing services. With an experienced eye for design and color, Carlos creates enviable serigraphs that are competitively priced.
Mounting
Harvest offers mounting services for those artists who want to maximize their print size and avoid the trim that is needed for stretching. Sentra board with archival adhesive is used to secure the print to the board. This product is available in a variety of sizes.
Stretching and Framing
Although we have offered custom canvas stretching for your Giclee prints for several years, we have now added custom framing to our line of services available. Our framing department offers volume framing services with a wide variety of moldings, liners, fillets, and mats to choose from.
Hand Enhancement
Let our team of artists help you create a three dimensional feel to your artwork while increasing its value. Our experienced staff of artists can work at your direction to produce an enhanced print or can prototype an image for your approval. We use the finest quality paints and texturing products which are completely compatible with the products we use in the manufacturing of our Tru Giclee™ prints.
Fulfillment
Don't have room for inventory? Don't want to manage shipping your product? Our fulfillment service can manage your inventory, package, drop ship to your clients, and provide reporting and accounting services for you. This department completes the "one stop shopping" for you. You can now prototype, print, coat, stretch, frame, package and ship all in one order.
Shipping
Our job is not complete until each work of art has been delivered to the right place on time. Our shipping services include national and international destinations. The packaging of each piece varies due to the quality and size of the order. We flat package as well as roll in highly protective tubes as per your instruction. For larger shipments, crating is also available. An accurate record is kept of each shipment for tracking purposes. We are also accustomed to shipping on demand to your location or to other locations that you request.
